Subtractions
- Removed the lodge at Sourdough, which burned to the ground December 27, 1992, unfortunately the fate of many historic lodges and other buildings
- Removed "David" from signature in lower right, moved it to the copyright notice
- Removed one tree from the three west of Chistochina and moved the other two farther west
Additions and Other Alterations
- Added color, of course, which allows snow caps on mountains and other snow fields to appear; blue water indicates clear rivers vs milky tan glacier-fed ones
- Reoriented the "You're in Copper River Country" sign to face right instead of left
- Reoriented the Fairbanks sign and upper portions of the Richardson Highway and pipeline correctly to the northwest instead of northeast
- Reoriented the Anchorage sign and western end of the Glenn Hwy to westsouthwest instead of west
- Relocated buildings from Tazlina to the Glenn-Richardson intersection
- Shaded Denali "Highway" to indicate pavement (darker with centerline) and gravel (lighter - extends most of the way westward)
- Added US Post Office building in Gakona
- Added road to Lake Louise from Glenn Hwy
- Added labels for roads and mountain ranges
- Added banners for Nelchina, Mendeltna, Mentasta, and Kennicott
- Moved Tok sign and a cabin to accommodate Mentasta banner
- Added signs for Wrangell-St. Elias National Park (and Preserve), Thompson Pass, and the Copper River
- Updated the family at Thompson Pass to be taking a selfie instead of traditional snapshot that would have omitted the photographer
- Added ptarmigan, forget-me-not, and mosquito characters in the lower left corner by the © notice
- Updated © notice to 2022, added "Copyright" and changed "D." to "David"
- Added snowmachine and driver above Lake Louise
- Added howling wolf and pup east of Paxson
- Added ptarmigan on Wrangell-St. Elias NP sign and fox watching the ptarmigan
- Added beaver gnawing on the pipeline support
- Made Lena Charley, famed dog musher from Chistochina, more recognizable
- Added tiny trees and antennas northeast of Gakona (I don't want to harp on it; if you want more info, request it via Contact Us!)
- Added markings to the Alaska State Trooper car, but retained the old bubble-gum-machine light vs updating to a light bar
- Modified other things, like the Big Dipper and Polaris, the lodge at Paxson, the size of the oarsman and raft above Sourdough, and the position and legs of the miner at McCarthy-Kennicott
- Not an alteration, but retained the egged shaped object at Tiekel, the "World's Largest Pet Rock", although I was only able to confirm it was still there long after I finished revising the map; incidentally, it's drawn on the wrong side of the highway because I lacked space.
