My Recent "Traditional" Political Cartoons

Traditional as in Non-Tom Duck & Harry

A reminder to so-called Christian Nationalists, who seem to be neither Christian nor invested in the welfare of the nation.  This was composed during the inevitable downhill slide that concluded with the passage of the "Big Beautiful Bill".

From His First Attempt at a Second Incarnation - 2020

The grifter was there for all to see... or to embrace and be burned.  Four years later, he reemerged like a backed up sewer, and an electorate looking for simple answers got screwed, plain and simple.

Into the Second Incarnation - 2025

Trump rendered this cartoon a bit inaccurate.  It turned out he didn't use a bible, not even the Trump edition.  Also turned out the caption was spot on.

It works with or without the pen.

The dominoes begin to fall, or is it Jenga?  This one was particularly painful for a lifelong reader of the Post, but then it had the best collection of daily comic strips.

I did this well prior to the White House car lot, but it's now past its shelf life following the breakup of the First Bromance.

I agree!  Put him on the money.  And on Mt Rushmore mooning the presidents.

In addition to making the stars orange, I added the tail so the cartoon could speak for itself.

I invite you to submit more text pairs to create a running series.

As with the inaugural cartoon, Trump undercut me on the day I drew this by telling the country that no gold paint looks like gold; you need gold leaf for that authentic imperial pretense.

It's only gotten longer.

Obviously, I haven't settled on a consistent caricature of him.  Maybe I don't want to look too closely.

Orange is the new black... or has that been done already?  Nevertheless, a prison jumpsuit in his favorite color would be very becoming on him.

We will add more such cartoons as they fester... uh, emerge.
